this patient came to our dental office 1 week after having a tooth extracted. We had to wait 6 months for the bone to heal (to place an immediate implant, you MUST do so on the day of the extraction, otherwise, you MUST wait 4-12 months for the bone to heal before placing an implant). we were able to place an implant 6 months after the extraction date.

this patient came to us in extreme dental pain. His tooth was broken off below the gumline and he had an abscess. We were not able to place the implant on the day of the extraction because of the abscess. On the day of extraction, we performed a bone graft, to ensure being able to place an implant without having to perform a sinus lift. the implant was placed 10 months after the extraction date.
